Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an idea close to my heart that I’ve been working on—it’s called PranBachao (প্রাণবাঁচাও), a mobile app designed to help save injured and distressed animals. Many of us come across hurt dogs, cats, or even birds on the streets, but we often don’t know what to do next. This app aims to change that.

What PranBachao does:

  • Live Location Sharing –
Anyone who finds an injured animal can post the live location with a quick snap.

  • Distress Call to Nearby Rescuers –
The app instantly alerts registered rescuers or volunteers nearby to take action.

  • Online Vet Support –
In-app chat/video call option with professional vets for quick guidance.

  • Basic Animal First Aid & Medicine Guide –
Step-by-step guide on how to give initial treatment until a rescuer arrives.

  • Online Diagnosing –
AI-powered symptom checker to suggest possible conditions and urgent care steps.

  • Community Support –
A forum-like feature where users can share rescue stories, tips, and even adopt recovered animals.

Why it matters:

Stray and injured animals often don’t get timely help.

Ordinary people want to help, but lack knowledge or resources.

With technology, we can connect rescuers, vets, and animal lovers into one powerful network.

How it could work in real life:

Imagine you spot a puppy limping on the road. Instead of feeling helpless, you open PranBachao, click a picture, and share the location. Within minutes, a nearby rescuer gets notified and rushes to help, while you receive first-aid steps from the app until they arrive.

I’d love to hear from you:

What features would you add to make this app more useful?

Should it connect with NGOs and animal shelters directly?

Would you personally join as a “rescuer” if the app was available?

Let’s build something that not only makes our streets safer for animals but also brings compassionate people together. 💙

Cheers,
Dip Saha
